ABOUT THE HOUSE

The perfect location for your DC vacation, this unique 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom property is situated in the heart of Georgetown's desirable East Village. An easy walk to the Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom Metro stations,  you can also stroll down to the Potomac waterfront, bicycle to the National Monuments or walk to the Kennedy Center where you'll find a free concert 365 days a year.   Take a break from your sightseeing and visit Rose Park just steps away.  There you'll find tennis courts, a basketball court, two playground areas, and lots of open space.

The house is a Federal-style historic building that is part of the L'Enfant Preservation Trust.  The earliest record dates back to October 2, 1806 when Thomas Beall sold the property to William Smith for $300. Since then, it has grown organically and has the unique charm of a classic Georgetown home.

JFK and Jackie lived in lots of different Georgetown homes and in 1957, they lived a block away on P Street. Here's a wonderful video of Jackie doing errands at what is now Stachowski's and taking the dog for a walk in Rose Park.    At 4:07 into the video, you can see Jackie walking on O Street the house in the background.  It's fast and small but it's there!!
